Support Measures in the Education of Pupils with Special educational Needs

The diploma thesis covers the procedural aspects of the provision of support measures of levels II-V at primary schools in the Žďár nad Sázavou district. It also explores the practical aspects and the support that teachers receive from school counselling centres in order to apply the support measures in accordance with the issued recommendations. The three research questions are: How do the educators evaluate the support provided by school counselling centres? What are the perceived challenges and opportunities for improvement for the educators when working with the school counselling centres? What form of cooperation with the school counselling centres would be most helpful for the educators when implementing the support measures in school? The thesis is divided into two chapters. The first chapter deals with the theoretical background of the thesis. It defines the concepts of younger school age, support measures of levels II-V, pupils with special educational needs, school counselling centres and school counselling facilities. The second chapter is focused on the description of the results of the qualitative research conducted by the author of the thesis. Development of spoken German language among students with special needs at lower secondary school

The diploma thesis deals with the development of spoken language in German among pupils with special educational needs in primary schools. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether the applied activities implemented within the intervention sessions contributed to the development of spoken language in selected pupils with special educational needs. The monitored pupils attend the ninth grade of a primary school established according to section 16 of the Education Act. One of the monitored pupils has a diagnosed specific learning disability, the second pupil has a diagnosed hyperkinetic disorder with attention deficit and the third monitored pupil has a diagnosed autism spectrum disorder. The theoretical part deals with the teaching of German as a second foreign language in Czech elementary schools, with spoken language, with the special educational needs of the monitored pupils and, last but not least, with the manifestations of these diagnoses in the teaching of the German language. The practical part contains research led by the case study method, which is carried out through eight intervention meetings with the monitored pupils. Distance education for children with special education needs from the perspective of teachers

The thesis analyses the methods and forms of education during and since distance learning for pupils with special educational needs in inclusive primary schools. The theoretical part defines the system of education of pupils with special educational needs in the Czech Republic. It describes the specifics of education of pupils with special educational needs in different types of disadvantages and defines distance education in general, including the implementation of digital technologies. A questionnaire was chosen as the method for data collection. On the basis of the existing information and unstructured interviews with teachers, a questionnaire for teachers and school special educators of primary schools was designed. The questionnaires were distributed in three regions of the Czech Republic. The research survey answered questions on distance education of pupils with special educational needs and on methods used since distance education based on the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the results and analysis of the questionnaire survey, appropriate methods and programs for education of pupils with special needs and both face-to-face and distance education were proposed. Position of the assistant teacher in distance learning for pupils with special educational needs at elementary school

The topic of this diploma thesis is the position of teaching assistant at elementary school during distance learning through the covid-19 pandemic. The thesis is describing the role of a teaching assistant in distance learning at pupils with special educational needs at elementary school. The aim of the thesis is a research project which is focusing on the position of teaching assistant for pupils with special educational needs during distance learning. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part consists three main chapters. In the first chapter is describing support pupils with special educational needs in education. This chapter is also focused on legislation and inclusive support, advisory services, support measures and options of education and pupils with special educational needs. The comparison of educationary, legislative and conceptual documents of the Czech Republic, France and the province of Quebec focused on pupils with special educational needs

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to describe and compare the education of pupils and students with special educational needs in the Czech Republic, France and Quebec on the basis of legislative and conceptual documents. In accordance with the formulated goal, documents of ministries of education and upbringing of individual countries and other legislative documents concerning inclusive education of pupils with special educational needs are analyzed and compared. Subsequently, partial goals are formulated: comparison of education of pupils with special educational needs and comparison of education, competencies and work of a teaching assistant. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first block of the theoretical part presents the educational systems of individual countries. The second block is devoted to the description of the education of children, pupils and students with special educational needs, as they are legally defined in individual countries. The practical part focuses on the analysis and comparison of individual subjects. The core of the practical part is a specific comparison of principles and possibilities of supporting inclusive education in individual countries. A qualitative strategy is chosen to meet the above objectives, and the data collection technique used is comparative analysis. Secondly, a semi-structured interview and observation is used. The work can be beneficial for students of pedagogically oriented programs as well as for the pedagogical public. The results of the bachelor's thesis can serve at the application level as inspiring materials for the creation of innovations in the education of pupils and students with special educational needs in the Czech Republic. The results of the comparison showed differences in the approach to the education of pupils with special needs. The terms integration/inclusion partially coincide, intersect. In practical application, inclusive education has different interpretations in different countries. The comparison of the position and education of teaching assistants revealed differences, especially in the level of work content and personal competencies.
Primary prevention of alcohol abuse by children with special educational needs

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of alcohol consumption in children and youth. The first chapter describes alcohol and its impact on health, provides an overview of alcohol consumption in the Czech Republic in adults, children and youth. The concept of pupils with special educational needs is explained here and attention is focused on ADHD pupils. The following is an introduction to the primary prevention system in the Czech Republic. The work describes the methodologies for working with pupils with special educational needs and identifies the basic documents and methodologies that can be used in the creation of preventive programs for the school environment. The created preventive program should teach pupils to refuse alcohol, bring information about the consequences of its consumption and raise overall awareness of its poor effect on the human body. Its aim is also to try to improve communication and find solutions in their often dissatisfied lifestyle. Overall, the program strives to develop communication, get to know other people, resolve negative events or conflict. And especially to get to know yourself.
Distance learning of pupils with special educational needs from the perspective of primary school teachers

This thesis is concerned with identifying appropriate approaches to distance learning for pupils with special educational needs in mainstream primary schools. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the system of education of pupils with special educational needs and the possibilities of their support. Furthermore, it describes the specifics of education of pupils with different types of disadvantages of pupils with special educational needs, defines distance education in general and summarizes the knowledge about distance education due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the analysis of the existing knowledge about distance education of pupils with special educational needs, a questionnaire for teachers was compiled. The survey answered questions about the involvement of students with special educational needs in distance education. Based on the results and analysis of the survey, possible recommendations for distance education of pupils with special educational needs in primary schools were proposed.
Staff recruitment in basic schools established for teaching pupils with special educational needs in the Pilsen Region

The final paper explores how qualified pedagogical employees are in basic schools established for teaching pupils with special educational needs and in ordinary basic schools where there is a special class for such pupils. Conclusion of the paper is based on research conducted in basic schools in the Pilsen Region. Research produced results to support existence of such schools and classes in the Pilsen Region.
The role of a teaching assistant in primary school

KRISTÝNA JEŽILOVÁ THE ROLE OF A TEACHING ASSISTANT IN PRIMARY SCHOOL ABSTRACT The thesis is about the profession of a teaching assistant and his interaction with pupils with special educational needs. It deals with what is the role of a teaching assistant during a teaching and how he helps pupils with special educational needs. The theoretical part explains important concepts which are crucial for this proffesion, that means joint learning, who the teaching assistant actually is and what he needs for his work and who are students with special educational needs. The practical part tries to outline the work of the teaching assistant by means of qualitative research. I was interested in how this work is viewed by assistants themselves, which I try to find out by means of research methods - interview and observation. On the basis of the results of the research, the conclusion of the investigation is elaborated, where all gained knowledge is summarized. The aim of the thesis is to find out what role the pedagogical assistants play and how they help pupils with special educational needs, how their assistants see their work, how their opinion on this profession differs and what it is the same.
